NEET 2027 Exam Date: Expected Schedule and NTA Updates
What is known, what is only expected, and the month-by-month calendar you can actually use.
NTA has not published an official NEET UG 2027 exam date as of 18 August 2026. Historically the paper is held on a Sunday in the first week of May. MockX’s working countdown uses Sunday, 2 May 2027 — treat that as a planning date, not a gazette notification.
Use this page as a live checklist: expected months, what can still change (especially CBT mode), and how to study until the PDF lands on neet.nta.nic.in.

If NEET moves to multi-day CBT, “the” exam date becomes a window. You would still get one assigned slot on the admit card.

Why 2 May 2027 is a reasonable planning date
- NEET UG 2025 and the original NEET UG 2026 attempt were early-May Sundays.
- Boards usually finish by April, which is why NTA likes May.
- Re-NEET 2026 (21 June 2026) was an exception after the leak — do not assume June is the new normal.

Ignore daily YouTube “breaking” unless it quotes NTA, MoE, or a court filing.

- Fake “admit card 2027 out in August 2026”
- Coaching batch start dates (Yakeen / Lakshya / Allen) as if they were NTA dates
- Predicted cutoffs a year early
Month-by-month prep until the date is official
August–October 2026 (now)
Finish Class 11 backlog. One full mock every 10–14 days. Start an error notebook.
November 2026–January 2027
Class 12 + NEET overlap. Increase to weekly full-syllabus mocks on MockX. Biology volume stays highest — Biology mock test plan.
February–March 2027
Bulletin + form filling. Do not pause mocks for “form week” more than two days.
April 2027
Revision + 2–3 mocks per week. If CBT is confirmed, only computer mocks. If OMR, add bubbling practice.
Revisit NEET 2026 question paper lessons so you are not surprised by the same NCERT traps.
Documents to keep ready (even without a date)
- Passport-size photos (same specs as last NTA bulletin)
- Signature and left-thumb impression scans
- Class 10 / 12 details and qualifying exam code
- Valid photo ID
- Category / PwD certificates if applicable
Uploading last minute is how forms get stuck. The date news should not be your first time opening the portal.
How exam-day timing usually works (OMR years)
If 2027 stays a single-shift OMR paper, recent years looked like:
- Reporting ~11:00 AM
- Gates close ~1:30 PM
- Paper 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM IST
- 180 minutes for 180 questions
CBT would replace gate/OMR logistics with lab login, but the academic clock (about three hours) is the skill you train now.
Q1: What is the NEET 2027 exam date? A: NTA has not announced it. A practical planning date is Sunday, 2 May 2027, based on recent May Sunday papers. Confirm only from the official Information Bulletin.
Q2: When will NEET 2027 registration start? A: Expect an application window a few months before the exam, often February–March. Exact dates will be in the bulletin.
Q3: Is NEET UG 2027 online? A: “Online” is misleading. CBT, if approved, is still at a centre. Home exams are not on the table.
Q4: Where should I check official NEET 2027 updates? A: neet.nta.nic.in and NTA’s official X account. Cross-check any viral date on those two sources before you change your study plan.

You do not need a gazetted date to start. You need weekly timed mocks, NCERT coverage, and a calm document folder. Use 2 May 2027 as a countdown target on MockX, and treat every unofficial “final date” post as noise until NTA publishes the bulletin.
