🔹 A leaf is partly enclosed in a conical flask containing KOH. 🔹 KOH absorbs CO₂ from the air inside the flask. 🔹 The plant is kept in sunlight for photosynthesis. 🔹 After the iodine test, the part of the leaf exposed to normal air forms starch, while the part inside the flask does not. 🔹 Conclusion: CO₂ is essential for photosynthesis.
